William Kenneth “Ken” Willoughby, Jr.

January 13, 1958 — March 24, 2022

William Kenneth “Ken” Willoughby, Jr., 64, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022, after complications arose from his battle with cancer.

Ken was born in Augusta, Georgia, in 1958, to the late Dr. William Kenneth Willoughby and Alice Ruth Willoughby. During his early years, he moved with his family to Milledgeville, Georgia, after his father took a position at the Dental Clinic, formerly known as the Milledgeville State Hospital. Ken attended Baldwin County High School and graduated in 1976. He never married.

A devout Star Trek fan, Ken enjoyed his annual trips to Las Vegas, Nevada, as well as the Universal Studios in Florida. He loved visiting the Star Trek exhibits and going on Star Trek tours. Throughout his lifetime, Ken was passionate about collecting Star Trek memorabilia.

Employed by Al and Sam Baggarly, Ken managed their car wash in Macon, Georgia, before they transferred their car wash and mini storage in Warner Robins. He was a loyal employee of the Baggarlys for over 16 years. Ken was looking forward to the opening of the new storage facilities as he enjoyed the interactions he had with his customers. Especially during his last months, he was grateful for the kindness of the Baggarlys and their customers.

Ken is survived by his sister, Laura Perkins (Lloyd) of Macon, GA; his beloved nephew, Brandon Brooks (Brittany) of Kathleen, and their daughter; his much beloved niece, Emory Claire Brooks, he took great joy in spending time with her over the last two years; his brother, Larry Warren Willoughby of Tennessee, and sister, Mary Elizabeth Morton in Rome, Georgia.
