William Leslie Shirah, 83, passed away on the morning of Monday, December 14, 2020.
Born on November 22, 1937, in Sumter, South Carolina, William was the son of the late Olin Shirer and Thelma Riles. With over 50 years of dedicated service, William proudly retired from both the United States Air Force and the United States Government.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of 64 years, Audrey L. Harris Shirah; children, William L. Shirah, Jr. (Susan), Debra Hamilton, Patricia Trotter, and Wendy Shirah; and several beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a memorial service honoring the life of Mr. Shirah will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of William Leslie Shirah to First Presbyterian Church of Warner Robins, 1139 Watson Blvd., Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with these arrangements.
