William Neil Malone

December 27, 1951 — February 2, 2022

Bonaire resident, William Neil Malone, age 70, passed away at the Houston Medical Center on Wednesday, February 2, 2022.

Born in Tuscumbia, Alabama, Neil was the son of the late Owen Chesley and Martha Foster Malone. A graduate of Warner Robins High School, Neil played football for the Demons throughout his high school career. A craftsman and master woodworker, he built custom cabinets and owned the local business, Cabinets Unlimited. Cabinets weren’t his only talent as he could cook up the best steak one could ever eat. Seriously, it was the best! His larger-than-life personality would light up a room. He regularly had his friends and family in stitches, telling jokes and cuttin’ up; Neil was so funny, he would even crack himself up. More than anything, he adored his family and his animals. Whatever his wife, Dene, wanted to do, Neil was all in. The couple’s favorite spot was to travel to the beach and he cherished every second he had with his bride of 43 years. Neil grew up going to Second Baptist Church but later in life, he attended Southside Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Neil was preceded in death by his sister, Ouida Glisson.

Left to treasure his memory include his wife of 43years, Sherron Aldene “Dene” Palmer Malone; children, Matthew Malone (Tammy), Wendi Baker, Aleshia Cousey (Jimmy), and Snake Griffin (Allison); grandchildren, Katie, Karma, James, Declan, Ashlei, Dustin, Jacob, Ella, Alex, Dylan, and Lauren; siblings, James Malone, Bobby Malone, and Tommy Malone; and 12 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 4, 2022 at McCullough Funeral Home. His service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Southside Baptist Church. Neil will be laid to rest at Magnolia Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made in Neil’s memory to the Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia, 6601 Zebulon Road, Macon, GA 31220.
