William Royce Graham

July 24, 1932 — November 23, 2016

On Wednesday, November 23, 2016, Mr. Royce Graham was reunited with his beloved wife, the late Betty Holder Graham, when he passed peacefully away at Morningside Hospice in Perry. He was 84 years old.

Born on July 24, 1932 in Hawkinsville, Georgia, Royce was the son of the late Julius and Cleo Etheridge Graham. He spent his early years growing up on a farm in Unadilla, Georgia where he was a graduate of the Unadilla High School Class of 1949. He later moved to Atlanta where he worked for a number of years until he relocated to Warner Robins. After moving here, he went to work in civil service at Robins Air Force Base. It was there that he met the former Betty Holder and shortly thereafter they were wed. Together, they enjoyed 64 years of marriage. Throughout his life, he was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors. A natural craftsman, he enjoyed time spent woodworking and making things for family and friends. Royce was a dedicated long-time member of Second Baptist Church. In the early days at Second Baptist he organized a mission trip with many church volunteers who traveled annually up to the Appalachian Mountains where they would camp and spend much time teaching and preaching to the people of the area. This mission trip continued for many years. After retirement, he and Betty bought a van and together would go up to the mountains to continue serving the people in the Appalachians. Additionally, Royce was a deacon at Second Baptist, a long time Sunday School teacher, and a member of the Senior Men's Sunday School class.

He is survived by two sons, Tony K. Graham of Charlotte, North Carolina and Dennis W. Graham of Warner Robins; a brother, Joseph L. Graham, and a sister, Livonia Howard, both also of Warner Robins; as well as three grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. His memory will be treasured by all the family and friends he leaves behind.

Royce's family will greet friends on Sunday, November 27, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services to celebrate his life will be held on Sunday immediately following visitation in the Chapel at McCullough. Afterwards, Royce will be laid to rest next to his wife, Betty Graham, in Magnolia Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of William Royce Graham to Second Baptist Church, 2504 Moody Road, Warner Robins, Georgia, 31088.
