Willie T. Fears

Willie T. Fears, 87, entered into rest on Sunday, December 30, 2012.

Mr. Fears was born on December 4, 1925 in Pinehurst, Georgia to the late Jesse Fears and Emma Peavy Fears. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II and retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. Mr. Fears was a charter member of Central Baptist Church where he was a member of the Adult Five Men Sunday School Class and served as an usher for many years. He was an avid golfer, but more than anything, he was a devoted family man and enjoyed all time spent with his family. In addition to his parents, his wife of sixty years, Marie B. Fears preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Linda Bowie (Daniel) and Randy Fears (Ginger); grandchildren, Alicia Bowie Rogers (Ricky), Christopher Bowie (Jamie), and Lacey Fears; great-grandchildren, Ava and Addyson Rogers, and Brooke and Britton Bowie; sister, Katherine Drew; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will immediately follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 886 Mulberry Street, Macon, GA 31201.
