Yvette Marie Gamble

July 10, 1966 — July 24, 2020

Yvette Marie Gamble, age 54, of Warner Robins, Georgia, passed on Friday, July 24, 2020, at Fairview Park Hospital, in Dublin, Georgia. She was born in Providence, Rhode Island, on July 10, 1966, to the late Sarah L. Gamble and L. V. Thomas.

Yvette attended public school and graduated from West Haven High School, in West Haven, Connecticut. She then attended Bunker Hill Community College in Boston, Massachusetts. Later, Yvette was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at various nursing homes and in private duty throughout the state of Rhode Island and Louisiana prior to her illness.

Yvette was a founding board member of the Sarah L. Gamble Foundation. The foundation helps children to succeed by providing scholarships. She was very instrumental in the fundraising aspect of the foundation. Yvette helped organize the Twinkie Clark Gospel Concert and was a valuable member in helping the foundation achieve its goals.

She was also a founding member of the Church of The Redeemer, in Providence, Rhode Island. The first church service was actually held in her home. Serving as an Usher, Hospitality Director, Praise and Worship Leader, and Helps Ministry and Fundraiser Chairperson, Yvette was a dedicated servant of the Lord. She was a giving and caring person, who was always helping someone.

An excellent cook, Yvette always had more than her family sitting at the table enjoying a meal with her. She was so kind and loving; everyone said that she was a sweet person. Yvette shared her home with those in need so that they had a place to lay their head. She exemplified the love of Jesus Christ.

Left to cherish Yvette’s memory are her sons, Leon Gamble (GA), Tyren Gamble (RI), Edward Adefusika (RI); and her daughter, Toren Gamble (GA). She also leaves one granddaughter, Ellis Gamble, who was the love of her life; her sisters, Apostle Eva Gamble (RI), Georgeanna Gamble (MA), Diana Addison (LA), Freddette Gamble (RI), Shirley Adenegan (RI); and two brothers, Troy Gamble (RI) and Reginald Gamble (RI), and his wife, Ana. In addition to her children and siblings, she leaves a host of nieces and nephews.
