Alice Doris Blazewicz

November 23, 1929 — July 11, 2023

The matriarch of her family, Alice Doris Blazewicz peacefully passed away at her residence on Tuesday, July 11, 2023. She was 93 years old.


The youngest of 13 siblings, Alice was the daughter of the late Stephen and Katie Kovac Cravish. Born on November 23, 1929, she was raised in New Haven, Vermont. Alice graduated from Beeman Academy. After high school, Alice relocated to North Adams, Massachusetts, to attend secretarial school where she learned Stenography. She married the late Matthew Theodore Blazewicz, a three-time war veteran, and together they settled in Warner Robins, Georgia, due to Matthew's service in the United States Air Force. She became employed at Robins Air Force Base as a medical transcriptionist until retirement. Alice then continued her work for a local mental health professional.


She had a number of hobbies and interests, Alice loved gambling, especially playing scratch-offs and Bingo. She also enjoyed traveling to casinos in Biloxi, Mississippi and was an avid reader. Alice was a member of the Warner Robins Senior Citizen Center and to Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Known for her feisty and strong-willed nature, Alice was beloved by everyone who knew her for her love of family and friends.


May her memory be a source of comfort and strength during this difficult time.


In addition to her husband and parents, Alice was preceded in death by all of her brothers and sisters.


Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Pamela J. Blazewicz of Rock Hill, South Carolina, and Debra M. Bonebrake of Las Vegas, Nevada; grandson, Steven Bonebrake; and great-grandchildren, Stephanie Bonebrake and Mateo Bonebrake.


A Rosary will be said at 6:00p.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2023, with a visitation following until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 14, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Afterward, Alice Doris Blazewicz will be laid to rest in the Magnolia Park Mausoleum.


The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Alice Doris Blazewicz to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 300 South Davis Drive, Building 300, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
