Alice Marie Beltz, 66, entered into rest on Thursday, September 26, 2013.
Mrs. Beltz was born on March 9, 1947 in Turkey Creek, Florida to the late James I. Smothers and Annie Cedessia Robinson Smothers. She was a faithful and devoted member of the Church of Christ. Marie worked for the Houston County Board of Education as a school bus driver for many years. She was passionate about spending time with her family and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Her beloved husband of forty five years, MSgt Richard Howard Beltz, USAF (Ret); her parents, brother, Kenneth Smothers, and sisters, Sandy Lunsford, and Ann Buell, all preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Dorothy C. Beltz, Warner Robins; Tracy R. Beltz, Warner Robins; Lisa M. McIntosh (Martie), Jacksonville, Florida; Christina L. Beltz, Bonaire; brother, James R. Smothers, Lithia, Florida; sister, Darlene Hall, Byron; grandchildren, James T. Beltz, Katie M. Carver, Emily K. McIntosh, Caitlin B. McIntosh, Brianna N. Higginbotham, Patrick Lovett, and so many other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 28, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 29, 2013 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Minister Gene Stilwell officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes's Association, One Corporate Square, Atlanta, Georgia 30329.
