Alton Fordham, 88, entered the gates of heaven on Saturday, September 18, 2021.
Alton was born on June 22, 1933, to the late John and Catherine Brewer Fordham. He worked as a security policeman at Robins Air Force Base prior to moving to a role as a Household Good Inspector from where he retired. He was a dedicated member of First Freewill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nell Fordham and son, John Fordham.
His memory will forever be treasured by his daughters, Donna Atkins (Tony) and Debbie Kerr (Jimmie); grandchildren, Bucky Kerr (Erica); Jason Kerr (Jenni), Tawney Tucker (Al) and Mytchell Jarvis (Rachel); grandchildren, Layla Kerr, Savannah Kerr, Hayden Tucker, Paityn Tucker and Henry Tucker; sister, Shirley Bostick and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. For friends and family unable to attend, the service will be streamed live via the McCullough Funeral Home Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mcculloughfuneralhome/live/.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Alton Fordham to Heart of Georgia Hospice at 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
