Listen to Obituary

Amy P. Oldfield-Powell passed away on 29 September 2026, Macon, GA where she was a resident of Carlyle Place. She was born in Yauco, Puerto Rico on 28 August 1942, daughter of Nolan J. Parrenin and Julia E. Parrenin, both deceased.

She is survived by her best friend and loving husband, Dan; her daughter, Wendy (Adam) of Melville, NY; and son, Bart (Missy) of Paducah, KY. She has three granddaughters, Ashley, Raquel, Sophia; and, three step-grandsons, Aiden, Rusty and Dennis with one step- granddaughter, Sophie. She has one great-granddaughter. Not to be forgotten is her full-time companion, Mary Edith Fuller.

Amy grew up in and around Puerto Rico, but will tell you she really could be found most of her time on the water water-skiing. She left Puerto Rico for the States trying out college in Bristol, Va. Not remaining there she moved on to Fort Knox, KY, then Paducah, KY and finally settled in Warner Robins., Ga. She loved the mountains and couldn’t get enough time at their place near Blairsville, Ga.

She was big on hobbies getting involved in knitting and quilting belonging to groups in Warner Robins, Macon and Blairsville. But her real love was flowers and owned “The Village Florist” on Ingleside Drive in Macon. Dan always fussed at her when she wondered around Carlyle Place arranging and re-arranging the flower displays.

Friends are invited to greet the family on Saturday, 31 October from 3:00-5:00pm at McCullough Funeral Home, 417 South Houston Lake Road, in Warner Robins. Graveside service will take place at the Georgia Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, in Milledgeville, Ga. on Monday, 2 November at 2:30pm.

McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with these arrangements.
