Ancil S. Hatton, born to Samuel and Martha Jane Hatton on December 25, 1936, of Baptist faith, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2007.
Mr. Hatton joined the U. S. Navy in 1954 and rose to the rank of Chief Petty Officer; he served during the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts and the Lebanon crisis, retired with twenty years of service and was an active member of VFW Post 6605, American Legion Post 172, Fleet Reserve and the AARP.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Hatton; sons, Ronald, Donald and Keith Hatton; daughter, Alcena Plemons, all of Warner Robins; brothers, Robert W. Hatton, Reynolds; Ronald E. Hatton, Italy; sisters, Alcena Bailey, Patricia Harmes and Della Ball, all of Winchester, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jessica, Katie, John and Mario Hatton.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2007, in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
