Andy Frank
Anderson, Sr.
Jan 31, 1937 — Sep 13, 2026
Warner Robins
Andy Frank Anderson Sr., 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 13, 2026.
Andy was born on January 31, 1937, in Portland, Oregon, to the late Clarence Anderson and Josephine Young. A proud patriot, he joined the United States Air Force and devoted 30 years to serving his country before settling in Las Vegas, Nevada where he worked for an aerospace company, was a pillar of the Community Lutheran Church and spent years as a master gardener volunteer at the Springs Preserve in Las Vegas.
He met the love of his life, Marjorie Maxine Gunter, in Chewelah Washington, and they married on 21 February 1958. His greatest pride was his wife and family. He was an anchor in every storm, our loudest cheerleader and a constant, quiet source of strength.
He devoted his life to helping others, never walking past a neighbor in need and never left a room without making sure everyone else was taken care of. He joined the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners in Plattsburgh NY.
Andy was a man of many interests. An avid coin collector, he enjoyed the history and stories behind the pieces he collected over the years. He found great satisfaction in working with plants and tending to his garden. Andy enjoyed traveling and experiencing new places, and he had a true appreciation for good food and wine. A talented cook himself, he enjoyed preparing meals and sharing them with those around him.
In addition to his parents, Andy was preceded in death by his son, Richard Duane Anderson; and brother, Howard E. Anderson.
His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife, Marjarie Anderson; son, Andy Anderson Jr.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Arthur Sauer, Geraldine M. Paul, and Christine Sloan; and other loving family members and friends.
At the families request, all services will be private.
McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with these arrangements.
