Warner Robins

Anita Louise Chapian, 82, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 7, 2024.

Anita was born on September 25, 1941, in Fort Jackson, South Carolina. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Anita loved and cherished her family, especially her grandchildren. Any time she could find time to spend with her family was time she deeply enjoyed. In her professional life, she earned a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, but went on to own her own recruiting agencies. Anita had a variety of interests and hobbies. She loved vacationing, cooking, and baking, but her passion for crafting is where she really shined. She was a seamstress who made a variety of costumes for dolls, some of which were antique dolls she had reproduced herself. She was also an avid decorator and wreath maker, creating ambiance wherever she went. The joy she brought to her family and friends will be dearly missed.

Her parents, Dillon and Thelma Massengill, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband of 35 years, Grieg Chapian; children, Bill Reason (Kim), Vicki Hernandez (Wilfredo), Lisa Slusher, Jordan Chapian, Denise Chapian (John), and Grieg Chapian; grandchildren, Victoria, Sydney, James, Courtney, Ava, Maddie, Will, Patrick, Sarah, Morgan, and Justin; great-grandchildren, Carmen, Isaiah, Sebastian, and Riverlynn.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Evergreen Memorial Park in Wilson, North Carolina, where Anita will be laid to rest alongside her mother.
