Ann Marie Hess, 93, entered into rest on Wednesday, April 1, 2026.
Ann was born on June 21, 1932, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, where she was raised. Although an only child to a single mom, she was surrounded by a large family of aunts and uncles that taught her the values of family. After graduating from high school, she worked as a telephone operator before marrying the love of her life, Roy E. Hess, on Sep 27, 1952. In 1959, they made their home in Warner Robins, Georgia, where Ann devoted herself to caring for their growing family.
Later, she worked at a local dress shop before beginning a long and fulfilling career at Houston Lanes and Freedom Lanes Bowling Alleys, where she spent over twenty years. Ann was a talented bowler, a dedicated league participant and organizer, and a beloved instructor and front desk manager.
Following retirement, Ann and her husband enjoyed traveling throughout the Southeast in their RV. These trips created many cherished memories, especially the time spent camping with family and grandchildren. She was also a passionate floral designer and green-thumb extraordinaire who found great joy in growing and tending to her plants.
Known for her warm and uplifting personality, Ann never met a stranger. She was kind, gracious, and always quick to offer an encouraging word. Through every season of life, she remained genuinely grateful and made sure others knew how much they were loved and appreciated. Her family was the center of her life, all of whom she loved deeply. She was an attendee of First Assembly of Warner Robins in earlier years.
Ann was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Ferraro Neill.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her beloved husband of 73 years, Roy E. Hess; children, Michael Hess (Kathy), Diane Jones, and Brian Hess, all of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Jonathan Hess, Christine Province (Robby), and Brandon Bryant (Karma); great-grandchildren, Gabriel Province, Brianna Province, Addison Bryant, and Grayson Bryant.
Visitation with family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Ann Marie Hess will be laid to rest privately in the Magnolia Park Mausoleum.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Ann Marie Hess to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with these arrangements.
