Anna Bell, age 54, passed away on June 26, 2026. She was a cherished daughter, a fiercely devoted sister, a loving fiancée, an aunt, cousin, niece, and a deeply compassionate friend whose heart was always open to those in need.

Anna was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on July 20, 1971. She loved the Lord Jesus with all her heart and was a devout, born-again Christian. Throughout her life, she consistently looked to her Lord and Savior for strength, guidance, and comfort. Her deep faith was the cornerstone of her gentle spirit, and she held tightly to her favorite scripture, Revelation 21:4, finding immense peace in the promise that one day there would be no more mourning, crying, or pain.

To know Anna was to know a giving soul. She possessed a rare, kind-hearted nature, often placing the needs and feelings of others far above her own. Despite her own challenges, she was an unwavering anchor for anyone who needed a listening ear, offering profound empathy, patience, and a safe space to talk without judgment. Her compassion was her gift to the world, and she gave it freely.

Anna’s vibrant spirit was beautifully reflected in her love for the color purple, which joyfully adorned both her wardrobe and her world. She found peace and beauty in the delicate grace of butterflies, and she took immense comfort in music. Whether she was listening to the timeless voice of Elvis Presley or finding solace in her favorite gospel hymns, music was a constant source of joy, worship, and reflection throughout her life.

Above all, Anna loved her family fiercely. Her parents were a profound and central part of her life, and she made sure her deep devotion to them was known by all. Her love for her fiancé and her family was unconditional, protective, and absolute.

She is survived by her loving parents, Russell and Janis Bell; her devoted fiancé, Layne Diffey; her sister, Priscilla Sawyer, and brother-in-law, Grant Sawyer; her niece, Amanda Shirley; and her great-nephew, Zackary Redman. She also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many friends who will miss her deeply.

Anna was preceded in death by her sister, Valerie Bell, and her niece, Katie Reed.

While our hearts are heavy with her sudden absence, we take comfort in knowing that the promise of her favorite verse has been fulfilled. Anna is finally free from all pain, her tears have been wiped away, and she is resting in eternal peace, rejoicing in the presence of the Lord.
