Annas “Paul” Handley, age 82, of Warner Robins, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Houston Medical Center.
Born on October 6, 1942, in Vienna, Georgia, Paul was the son of the late Willard Vance and Lucy Pearce Handley. A Vietnam War veteran, Paul proudly served in the United States Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis. After the military, Paul continued serving his country as an Instrument Technician on Robins Air Force Base.
Beyond his career, Paul was deeply passionate about technology and was known for being computer savvy. His creative spirit extended beyond the digital world, as Paul was a gifted woodworker and artisan. Working with his hands, he crafted intricate jewelry and stunning stained-glass pieces.
Paul was also a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warner Robins, where his faith was a central part of his life.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Anne Wellham; and sister, Judy Enckler.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 47 years, Elizabeth B. Handley; daughter, Bonnie Hebert (Patrick); grandchildren, Hayley Edge (Derick), and Aimee Hebert; bonus grandson, Jonathan Hubbard; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Hubbard; brother, Willard Vance Handley, Jr.
A Rosary will be said on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. with visitation following until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Afterward, Annas “Paul” Handley will be laid to rest privately.
