Antwayne Jerome "Aj" Taylor, Jr.

The life of 17-year-old Antwayne Jerome “AJ” Taylor, Jr. was tragically cut short following an automobile accident on Friday, December 17, 2021, in Houston County.

Born and raised in Warner Robins, Antwayne had previously attended Northside High School. An extrovert at heart, he was the epitome of a people person. He was most happy when he was spending time with his family and friends, especially his girlfriend. Antwayne loved music and loved to rap. In his spare time, he was an avid video gamer.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Antwayne Taylor, Sr. and Elegante Contillion Oates; sisters, Shakemia Solomon and Londyn Oates; brothers, D’Tresvian Solomon and Braxton Oates; grandparents, Azzie Lee Oates, J.D. Solomon, and Glenda Everett; aunties, Lequicha Oates, Rediscia Oates, Latoyia Taylor, Angela Taylor, and Tawanna Bass; uncles, Dante Oates and Larry Davis; cousins, Alfred Smith, Tanaisha Oates, De’Andre Oates, Zyla Smith, Connor Oates, De’Jad Williams and a host of other loving family members who will miss him dearly.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at McCullough Funeral Home. Antwayne’s funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 24, 2021, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Magnolia Park Cemetery. The Reverend Akevia Lewis will officiate.
