Byron

Barbara “Bobbie” Floyd Garnto, 82, of Byron, Georgia, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025.

Bobbie was born on February 13, 1943, in Coolidge, Georgia, to the late Edward and Josie Baxley Floyd. She grew up in Thomasville, where she made many lifelong memories and friendships. Bobbie was a proud graduate of Thomasville High School, Class of 1961. She went on to attend vocational school in Macon, where she built a life rooted in hard work, faith, and love for others.

Throughout her career, Bobbie worked as a bookkeeper for various businesses across Middle Georgia. Her attention to detail, dedication, and kind spirit left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of working with her.

Outside of work, Bobbie’s life was filled with creativity, adventure, and service. She loved camping, going on mission trips, crafting, cooking, and reading—interests she joyfully shared with her children and grandchildren. She also passed on her love of reading to all four of her girls, nurturing in them the same curiosity and imagination that brought her so much joy. Above all, Bobbie treasured time spent with her family and friends. Her warmth, laughter, and gentle heart will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Bobbie’s life was a beautiful example of love, faith, and perseverance. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched.

In addition to her parents, Bobbie was preceded in death by her daughter, Tonya Taylor, and grandson, Jerin Taylor.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband Earl Garnto; children, Pamela McClamma (Merritt) of Tampa, Florida, Kimberly Cryer (Michael) of Bluffton, South Carolina, and Krista Neal (Robert) of Dublin, Georgia; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and other extended loving family.

A memorial service celebrating Bobbie’s life will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Bobbie will be laid to rest privately.
