Barbara Ann Knick

Barbara Ann Knick, 79, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.

Barbara was born on May 25, 1947, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Lindsey and Louise Kartsher. She and her beloved husband, Dennis Lynn Knick, eventually made their home in Bonaire, Georgia. Barbara spent many years as the CEO at Polly’s Pet Products, where she was proud to serve her community in a way that was both fun and meaningful.

In her free time, Barbara liked to read and enjoyed walking her dogs. She had a sweet tooth and kept stashes of candy all over the house for whenever she had a craving. She also had an affinity for Taco Bell.

Above all, Barbara was devoted to her family, first to her children and later to her grandchildren. She came to be affectionately known as “Knick,” originally by her grandbabies and later by all. She especially loved playing games with her grandchildren that she raised in Georgia.

Barabara was very smart, loving, and devoted to her loved ones. She leaves behind a lasting impact on all who knew her that will not be soon forgotten.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded by her brother, David Kartsher.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her husband, Dennis Lynn Knick; her daughter, Kimberly Knick Dickerson; her grandchildren, Raven Rae Dickerson, Melanie Ann Dickerson, Jessamine Viola Kristansen, Cora Lynn Dixie Machata, and Christian Alexander Knick Machata; and a host of friends and family

The family will be holding a celebration of life on Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at 132 Hathersage drive, Kathleen, GA 31047.
