In the early morning hours of Friday, January 19, 2018, Barbara Willeby, 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior.
Mrs. Willeby was born on October 30, 1930 in Griffin, Georgia to the late John, Sr. and Myrtice Varnam Moore. She was a loving and devoted homemaker whose family was always her highest priority. Mrs. Willeby was a woman of strong faith and was a founding member of Southside Baptist Church. “Barbara the Boss” was considered the prayer warrior and matriarch of her family. She had a passion for camping, and enjoyed gardening, and reading. Mrs. Willeby’s family will always remember her good sense of humor and the loving, Godly way she lived her life.
Her husband, Henry Lemuel Willeby, son, Harold Wayne Willeby, grandson, Michael Willeby, and sister, Nelda Carroll, preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Lynne Hedden (Terry), Ronald Keith Willeby (Jeri); grandchildren, Greg Willeby, Todd Hedden (Tori), Barrett Hedden (Paju), Adam Willeby, Whitney Hoffman (Dustin); several great grandchildren; brother, JohnW. Moore, Jr. (Betty), and numerous nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, January 22, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church. After the service, Mrs. Willeby will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Barbara Moore Willeby to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
Mrs. Willeby’s family is extremely grateful to the staff of Heart of Georgia and Dr. Shakarappa for their excellent care during this difficult time.
