Barbara S. Evans

Barbara Evans, 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, November 3, 2017.

Barbara was born on December 26, 1930 in Mishawaka, Indiana to the late Thomas and Marian Miller Shalley. A loving and devoted homemaker, her highest priority was taking care of her family. Barbara enjoyed painting, reading, and most of all spending time with her beloved family especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.

Along with her parents; her husband, William Baynard Evans; her brother, Thomas Shalley, and sister, Mona Bush, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Gayle Arnett (Jim) of Warner Robins; Nancy Whelchel (Buck) of Perry; Gina Suckow (Craig) of Perry; Randall Evans of Warner Robins; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Joy Anderson; Sue Hendrickson; Mary Walters.

Visitation will be Monday, November 6, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 in the Chapel of McCullough. Following the service, Barbara will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
