Bernice Vargas

Bernice Vargas, 85, entered into rest on Saturday, June 25, 2016.

Bernice was born on December 7, 1930 in Alpine, Alabama to the late Jacob and Lois Hammonds. She enjoyed volunteering her time at the Museum of Aviation and the Warner Robins Air Force Base Hospital. An avid gardener, Bernice brought lots of joy to many people with her beautiful flowers and arrangements.

Her beloved husband, Abdon Julio Vargas and son, Jacques A. Vargas, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Suzanne Beers (Henry) of Macon and Jeffrey Vargas (Kathy Sherrill) of Warner Robins; ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren; siblings, Margaret Kmiotek, Henrietta Worthy (Skipper), both of Alexander City, Alabama, Carolyn Buckner (Frank), Eclectic, Alabama and Jane Beard of Sylacauga, Alabama and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with the family receiving friends one hour prior. Following the service, Bernice, will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Mausoleum.
