Betty C. Bennett

Betty Sue Bennett, 75, entered into rest on Friday, September 22, 2023.

Betty was born on August 25, 1948, in Roberta, Georgia. She was employed at Blue Bird Body Company for 13 years, followed by a 25+ year civil service career at Robins Air Force Base, where she received many service awards for her excellence. Betty was also a member of The Assembly, where she devoted her faith. She will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Her parents, W.H. and Myra Chapman, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband of 53 years, John “Butch” Bennett; children, Tammy B. Smith (Troy) and Matt Bennett (Jessica); grandchildren, Madison Smith, Austin Bennett, Emma Smith, Kohen Bennett, and Maymie Bennett; siblings, Nancy Turner (Tom), Donnie Chapman (Connie), and Diane Osborne (Dennis); along with many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 26, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at The Assembly at 6040 Watson Blvd, Byron, GA 31008. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:30 p.m. at The Assembly, with Reverend Darrell Yarbrough officiating. Afterward, Betty will be laid to rest in Roberta Cemetery.
