Betty J. Underwood

Betty J. Underwood, 83, went home to be with her Lord and Savior in Heaven on Wednesday, April 9, 2014.

Betty was born on May 6, 1930 in Greene County, Georgia to the late Benjamin and Mae McAlister. She was a longtime faithful member of Central Baptist Church where she was active in the Women's Ministry. A resident of Warner Robins since the mid-fifties, Betty was a wonderful homemaker, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Betty enjoyed crocheting and was passionate about spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Benny McAlister, and son in law, Louis Copeland.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her beloved husband, Marvin L. Underwood; Warner Robins; daughter, Paula Copeland, Perry; sisters, Ann Smith and Beverly Wilson, Saluda, South Carolina; and granddaughter, Rachel Copeland, Perry.

Visitation will be Friday, April 11, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Central Baptist Church with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to Central Baptist Church (Building Fund or Mission Groups) 1120 Lake Joy Road, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
