Betty Thomas

Betty Thomas, 64, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2007. Mrs. Thomas was born on October 4, 1942 in Butts County, Georgia. She was of the Baptist Faith. Mrs. Thomas liked to fish, garden and loved to cook. She managed convenience stores and was a member of the Red Hat Society, Byron Babes I.

Her son, Michael William Lee, father, James Warren Gilbert, brother, Jimmy Warren Gilbert and sister Patsy L. Gilbert Presley all preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Thomas, Byron; son, Douglas Williams, Jenkinsburg; daughter, Kimberly Day, Byron; mother, Sylvia Gilbert, Jackson; brother, Bobby L. Gilbert, Jackson and eight grand children.

Visitation will be Friday, April 27, 2007 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2007, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Glen Haven Cemetery.
