Bobby Eugene Boutwell

Bobby Eugene Boutwell, 81, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2018.

Mr. Boutwell was born in Macon, Bibb County, Georgia to the late James Ronald and Mary Lizzie Logue Boutwell. He retired from Computer Systems Design at Robins Air Force Base after 31 years of service. Mr. Boutwell was the Payroll Programmer for the first digital Leave and Earnings Statements and Checks in October 1965. After early retirement from RAFB, he formed Boutwell Construction LLC and built residential homes for 17 years in the Warner Robins, Centerville, and Byron areas. In October 1972, Mr. Boutwell obtained his private pilot’s license and enjoyed flying, but his passion was always golf, especially on the rare occasions of having a hole in one. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Warner Robins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James “Ronnie” Boutwell and Kenneth “Kenny” Boutwell.

Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Sherry Ann Cauley Boutwell of Byron; children, Terri Lynn Cunningham of Macon and Mark Eugene Boutwell of Byron; sister, Gloria Corley of Macon; brother, Carlton Lamar “Butch” Boutwell of Warner Robins; and many special nieces and nephews.

A memorial service celebrating Mr. Boutwell’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2018 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Dr. Matt Stewart will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in memory of Bobby Boutwell to Christ United Methodist Church, 511 Russell Pkwy., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
