Chance Bowden, born on January 31, 1997, passed away leaving behind a legacy of joy, love, and unwavering spirit. A native of Houston County, Chance graduated from Houston County High School in 2019.
From an early age, Chance courageously faced the challenges of Cornelia de Lange syndrome. Despite the obstacles, he met life with an open heart and a contagious smile. He had a unique and loving way of greeting others—always checking their hands as a special form of connection.
Chance loved to dance, spin, laugh, and surround himself with music and mirrors. His affection was abundant and pure, filling every room with warmth.
He shared a deep bond with his caregivers, Bridget and Sonny, and adored his family with all his heart. A true mama’s boy, Chance followed his mother everywhere she went, bringing light to her life and to those around them.
He was a cherished member of Cross Point Baptist Church in Perry, where his presence was a blessing to all who knew him.
Chance’s life, though marked by medical challenges, was a beautiful testament to resilience, unconditional love, and joy in the little things. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Terry Peake and Jerrell Sherrer.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving mother, Brandi Davis (Craig); siblings, Tyler Nunn, Tucker Nunn; step-siblings, Kendall Joiner, Cam Davis, Hadley Davis and Brody Davis; grandparents, Rob and Denise Done, and Danny Peake.
Chance’s family is at peace knowing he is now dancing with Jesus.
