Brenda Dickey Fowler

Brenda Merle Fowler, 79, entered into rest on Friday, September 15, 2023.

Brenda was born on June 13, 1944, in Augusta, Georgia to the late James and Flora Dickey. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, holding a selfless devotion to family and loving her three daughters and seven grandchildren more than words could describe. Brenda was a strong and faithful Baptist who had a reverent love for the Lord. In her free time, she loved traveling with her four sisters, particularly to the beach or the mountains. She will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Nelson Rogers Fowler, and siblings, Johnnie Neal and Jimmy Dickey.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Joy Malone (Kenny), Lori Buffington, and Amy Moore (Bert); grandchildren, Chess Malone, Katelyn Malone, Kayla Moore, Cody Sumner, Johnathan Sumner, Mick Sumner, and Justin Buffington; and siblings, Betty Wilson, Joyce Wigginton, and Barbara Paglia.

A memorial gathering will be Tuesday, September 19, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Brenda will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
