Obituary

Listen to Obituary

Bridgett Roberts Hay, 60, entered into eternal rest on July 31, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on September 8, 1965, in Clearwater, Florida, Bridgett lived a life defined by compassion, kindness, and an unwavering love for those closest to her.

Bridgett found her calling in the hospice field, where she devoted herself to caring for others during some of life's most difficult moments. She formed meaningful bonds with her patients, treating each one with dignity, compassion, and genuine love. In return, she was deeply loved and appreciated by the countless families whose lives she touched.

Outside of work, Bridgett found joy in the simple things that brought people together. She was an avid NASCAR fan and, back in the day, proudly cheered on her favorite driver, Jeff Gordon. She also enjoyed discovering and sharing recipes with family and friends, always looking for something new to pass along. An animal lover through and through, Bridgett adored her faithful dog, Luke, as well as her beloved cats, who brought her endless comfort and companionship.

More than anything, Bridgett treasured her family. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother whose greatest happiness came from spending time with her children and grandchildren. The love she shared with them was the foundation of her life, and the memories they created together will be cherished forever.

Bridgett was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Drawhorn; father, Frank Roberts; birth mom, Diane Garland; siblings, Shane Roberts, Frankie Roberts, Jeff Roberts, and Willie Roberts, Jr.; and grandchild, Jade Noland.

She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Stephen "Joe" Hay; children, Timmy Scarbary (Christina), Clint Scarbary, and Rachel Crumpton (Don); grandchildren, Aubrey Crumpton, Victoria Scarbary, and Mason Crumpton; parents, James "Jim" Drawhorn and Patsy Drawhorn; birth father, W.L. Roberts; siblings, Cindy Rhyne (Tony), Dan Roberts, Andy Drawhorn (Abby), Larry Drawhorn (Amy), Angela Roberts, Terra Roberts, Heather Parker, and Kyle Curry.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 8, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home with a funeral service following in the chapel. Afterward, Bridgett will be laid to rest in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Lizella, Georgia.

For friends unable to attend at this time, the service will be streamed live at https://www.youtube.com/@McCulloughFuneralHome via the McCullough Funeral Home’s YouTube page.
