Carl F. "Pete" Peterman, 83, went to be with the Lord on September 2, 2008.
Mr. Peterman was born on May 7, 1925, in Taylor County, Georgia. With pride and honor he served his country in the U.S. Army; later, he owned and operated Peterman Service Station, the oldest business in Warner Robins. He was a Shriner and a 32nd Degree Mason. His favorite hobbies were fishing and gardening. He attended New Life Baptist Church. His parents, Newton and Jeffie Gaultney Peterman, and nine siblings, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Wynelle Vann Peterman; children, Carl E. "Sonny" Peterman (Jayne), Kathleen, Judy Miles (Buddy), Warner Robins, and Kemp Peterman (Lisa), Warner Robins; sisters, Edna Holland, Warner Robins, Francis Murray, Brandenton, Florida, and Peggy West, Hiawassee, Georgia; grandchildren, Stephanie Gardner Smith (Keith), Warner Robins, Scott Peterman (Stacy), Warner Robins, Nicole Peterman Griffin (Lee), Macon, and Ashley Peterman, Warner Robins; seven great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 3, 2008, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2008, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home; Reverend James McCullough and Reverend Sydney Odom officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Memorial may be given to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins GA 31088; or to Northside Baptist Church, 1013 Carl Vinson Parkway, Centerville GA 31028.
