Carol Elaine Spann, 68, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026.
Carol was born on August 18, 1957, in Perry, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late John H. Wood and Ruth McIntyre Wood.
Carol was the proud owner of Seaways Seafood and of the Baptist faith. She had a deep love for cooking, especially for her friends and family, and enjoyed trying new recipes. In her free time, she could often be found watching mystery shows and western films.
Alongside her husband, Carol owned and operated Seaways Seafood II in Warner Robins, where she built a thriving business known for its fresh seafood. Over the years, she continued to serve the community with dedication and formed lasting friendships with nearly everyone who walked through their doors.
Carol will be remembered for her kindness, hard work, and the joy she brought to those around her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Loris Spann; and siblings, Randy Potts, Andy Potts, and Linda Martin.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her son, Lucas Spann; stepchildren, Lori Lynn Smith and Howard W. Spann; grandchildren, Dylan and Tristan Spann, T.J. and Conner Smith; and great-grandchild, Kaesyn Alexander Reynolds; brother, Gary Wood; cousin and best friend, Tammy Bonner; sister and brother-in-law, Dee-Dee and Steve Spann; brother-in-law, Fred Martin; as well as nieces and nephews, and numerous friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Carol Elaine Spann will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery.
