Catherine Tucker, 86, entered into rest on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.
Born on February 3, 1940, in Milan, Georgia, Catherine was the daughter of the late Walter Cooper and Juanita Selph Cooper of Fort Meade, Florida.
Catherine dedicated nearly three decades of her career to civil service, working as a supervisor at Robins Air Force Base before her retirement. She was a faithful member of Christian Hope Church and lived her life guided by kindness, generosity, and service to others.
She found great joy in gardening and traveling. Catherine was known for her giving heart, which she shared generously with her community. She volunteered for many years at the Macon Food Bank, where her compassion and dedication made a lasting impact.
In addition to her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Hughard Tucker.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Rhonda Widener (Lynwood) of Warner Robins; Carol Huff (Rob) of Aiken, South Carolina, and Randall Hue Tucker (Misty) of Virginia Beach, Virginia; grandchildren, Lacy Cohen (Michael), Leandra Jones (Kelley Pike), Brandon Jones, Javin Burgner (Kate), Tucker Huff (Katie) Seth Huff (Hannah), Zack Tucker, and Victoria Cint; five great-grandchildren; and siblings, Geneva Blackwelder of Fort Meade, Florida, Walter T. “Buddy” Cooper (Pat) of Fort Meade, Florida, and Linda Breland Humphries (Wayne) of Lenoir City, Tennessee; as well as many of beloved extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, April 13, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Catherine Tucker will be laid to rest beside her husband in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
