Charles “Chuck” Edward Wells entered into rest on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at the age of 74.
The son of the late William Foster and Annie Ruth Ennis Wells, Chuck was born in Wallace, North Carolina. As a young man, Chuck worked as a T.V. repairman and lineman before enlisting to the United States Air Force. From 2000 until 2017, Chuck continued his career in electrical engineering in the aerospace industry with Unisys, L3, and Raytheon Technologies and won many awards for his knowledge, commitment, and talents.
Chuck had a passion for machines, anything from Corvettes and Mercedes vehicles to tractors and heavy equipment, as well as guns. Chuck also had a passion for pier fishing, loved animals, especially dogs, cats, and squirrels. Chuck will be missed by all.
His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Leslie Wells of Byron; children, Jennifer McDonald (Chris) of Washington D.C., Monica Salter (Buddy) of South Carolina, Keli Battles (Billy) of Byron, Amber Wells and Victoria Gonzalez (Kris) of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Duncan, Emilia, William, Christian, Sydney, Madison, Abby, Sadie, Braxton, Aiden, Riley, Oliver; and sister, Mary Anna Gray, of Lumberton, North Carolina.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Chuck will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens.
