Charles Morton Venable, 74, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2015.
Charles was born on November 12, 1940 in Macon, Georgia to the late James Otis and Mary Jones Venable. He was a proud United States Army Veteran and retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. Charles had many interests, but his home and family life always came first. His grandchildren were especially important to him and he loved spending time with them. Charles was a certified private pilot, flying the Cessna 150. He also enjoyed small engine repair, playing guitar, and singing country music.
Charles's memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 53 years, Lou Merle Venable of Warner Robins; children, Sherry L. Venable of Huntsville, Alabama, Danny C. Venable (Anna) and Lisa M. Armstrong (Roger), both of Warner Robins, and David W. Venable of Unadilla; grandchildren, Dustin Scruggs, Chelsea, Kyle and Matt Armstrong, Jason Venable, Jonathan Scott, Sarah and Josh Lamb, Natalie Knight, and Derek and Courtney Daugherty; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Glenn Venable (Barbra) of Dahlonega; sisters, Patricia Anne Tucker of Macon and Linda Stahlberg of Dahlonega; and a host of adoring nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2015 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery, Reverend Mike Campbell officiating.
