Charles Robert Gilley

Charles Robert Gilley, 58, entered into rest on Monday, June 16, 2014

Charles was born on March 08, 1956 in Hogansville, Georgia. He was self-employed in the painting industry and was also a veteran of the United States Air Force. He truly loved sports especially officiating football for the Georgia High School Association for eighteen years. His greatest love above all else was his family, he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He will always be remembered as a loving father, son, grandfather, and brother. He attended Gordon United Methodist Church.

His parents, Jack Waymon Gillie, and Peggie Estes Gillie, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his daughter, Crystal Rogers (Zeb), of Athens, Georgia, son, Joshua Gilley (Lindsay), of Warner Robins, Georgia, grandchildren; Brody and Bella Rogers, of Athens, Georgia, and sisters; Darlice Goulding (Rick), and Amy Layfield (Keith), both of Warner Robins, Georgia.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June18, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Thursday June 19, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia.
