Charles William “Bill” Rose, 77, entered into rest on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.
Bill was born on February 16, 1948, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army from February 1968 to September 1970, including a tour of duty in Vietnam. After his military service, Bill pursued his passion for education and children by becoming an educator with the Department of Defense Dependent School System, a role he embraced for over 30 years.
While teaching in Germany, Bill met the love of his life, Francine Bedard. The two were married on May 29, 1990, in the picturesque city of Basel, Switzerland. In 2006, Bill was transferred to Warner Robins, Georgia, where he served as the Principal of Robins Air Force Base Elementary School until his retirement. Never one to remain idle, he later joined the team at Home Depot, continuing to serve his community in a new way.
Bill had a deep and enduring love for animals and wildlife. He volunteered at his local animal shelter and was a proud lifetime member of the Duck Society. He and Fran shared a mutual passion for travel, exploring the world hand in hand and visiting many countries together throughout their life. He will be deeply missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Bill’s parents, Orie N. Rose and Marie Lang Rose, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Francine “Fran” Bedard.
