Charlie French Dodson

Charlie “Baby Nunie” Dodson, 78, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017.

Charlie was born on June 6, 1939 in Marshallville, Georgia. Following graduation from Hunt High School, she worked at the Macon Coliseum as a CNA, Continental Can Company, Payless ShoeSource, and most recently at the Robins Air Force Base Officer’s Club. In her spare time, Charlie loved cooking, gardening, and hairdressing. However, her greatest joy came from time spent with her beloved family. Charlie was a member of Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Her parents, Silas McCrary and Otha French Clark, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Willie Dodson, III (April), Eloise Cunningham, Barbara Burnette, all of Warner Robins, and Nathaniel Dodson of Augusta; twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Hall (Earnestine) of Fort Valley; sister, Alice Avant (Henry) of Fort Valley, and former husband, Bishop Willie Dodson, Jr.

Visitation will be Friday, August 4, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2017 in the Chapel of McCullough.
