Charlie William “Chuck” Hatfield, Jr., 64, entered into rest on Monday, July 6, 2026.

Chuck was born on April 24, 1962, in Cochran, Georgia, to the late Charlie and Vivian Hatfield. He was raised in Cochran and, later, Macon, and graduated from Southwest High School in 1979.

Following a stint in basic training for the US Army, Chuck embarked on his storied career as an over the road truck driver. For over twenty years, Chuck traveled all over the country with both Pepsi Co. and Frito Lay. When he was on the road, he went by the tag “Hobo.”

When he wasn’t driving, Chuck was known for his authentic southern cooking. He made a mean pot roast and cowboy stew. He also loved sports, especially the Atlanta Falcons and the Georgia Bulldogs.

Chuck was sensitive, kind, and passionate, always ready to speak his mind about things that were important to him. His big heart touched many lives in a way that will not soon be forgotten.

In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded by his brother, Tony Hatfield.

His memory will forever be cherished by his children, Brooke and Carly (Blake) Hatfield, both of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Tyler Hatfield of Vienna, Georgia; his grandchildren, Zane Hasty, Alena Lumpkin, and Elizabeth Hatfield; his former spouse, Janet Hatfield; along with a host of friends and extended family members.

At the family’s request, these services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Chuck to Sober Living of America at https://soberlivingamerica.org/.

McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with these arrangements.
