Cherry Dawn Poole

Cherry Dawn Poole, of Roberta, GA, passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday, April 16, 2023, at the age of 71. She was born in Mobile, AL on August 3, 1951, a twin daughter of the late James and Verna Lee. Dawn is now reunited in Heaven with her parents and her sister, Sheryl Diane Ready.

Outgoing, bubbly, and sometimes bossy, Dawn could brighten anyone’s day; her love of people and her fun and cheerful spirit never failed anyone. She was never in short supply of laughter and enjoyed life to the fullest. In her free time, Dawn enjoyed fishing, birdwatching and horseback riding, but spending time and playing games with her family was where she was happiest.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Don Poole of Roberta; sons, Mike Poole of Chattanooga, TN and Kenneth Poole (Charity) of Eastman; grandchildren, Rebecca Kaytlin Poole of Chattanooga, TN and Christopher Poole (Bethany) of Perry; two great-grandchildren; brothers, James Gordon Lee, Douglas Earl Lee and David Brian Lee; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service celebrating Dawn’s life will take place on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with a memorial gathering one hour prior to the service.
