Cherry Wilson Oliver passed away at a local hospital on May 7, 2026.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 11:30 a.m., at McCullough Funeral Home, with Reverend Jeff Cleghorn officiating. Visitation will be a half hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
Ms. Oliver was born on January 24, 1936, in Rome, Georgia, to her parents Mack and Gladys Wilson. During her childhood, she moved with her family to Portsmouth, Virginia; Hampton, Georgia; before settling in Warner Robins, Georgia, in 1948 where she has been a resident ever since. She attended Charles Thomas Elementary School as well as CB Watson Elementary School. She attended 4 years and graduated from A.L. Miller High School, Class of 1954. She also attended Macon Junior College for 2 years. Ms. Oliver also retired from Robins AFB with almost 39 years of civil service.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Warner Robins and a charter member of Central Baptist Church. She was a true Christian with a kind spirit and loved her God and her family. She was a caregiver to several family members and always put their needs before her own.
She is preceded in death by her brothers, Eldon and John Wilson; her sister, Jean Wilson; and her precious niece, Judy Wilson, in addition to her parents.
Ms. Oliver is survived by her loving husband, Edward Oliver; nieces, Barbara Herskowitz of Stockbridge, Georgia, and Cindy Graver of Warner Robins; nephews, Harris (Pam) Mullis and Daniel Lachanic; great-nephews, Shaun (Tina) and Matthew; and great-great-nieces, Sawyer and Saylor.
