“Chris” to most, “Dad” to Alyssa, and always “Christopher” to his mom, he was born August 12, 1977, in Charleston, South Carolina, and passed away on August 16, 2025.
The son of an Air Force officer, Chris lived in many places growing up, but Florida was his favorite, where he fell in love with surfing. He later made his home in Warner Robins, Georgia, where he built a life grounded in service, family, and faith.
Chris worked in Information Technology at Robins Air Force Base. He liked IT, but his true passion was music and running live sound.
Known for his deep generosity, Chris gave more than most thought reasonable. He believed that true happiness came from being grateful, which he exhibited daily.
He is survived by his wife, Amy, and his daughter, Alyssa, who was the joy of his life. He also leaves behind his mother, Barbara Etheridge; his sister, Kristine Ali (Haval); and a whole community of extended family and friends who were lucky enough to know and love him. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Etheridge.
A celebration of Chris’s life will be held at Shirley Hills Baptist Church in Warner Robins on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
To honor Chris’s memory, find someone to help. Watch a favorite movie. Play a good song loud. Or just take a moment to be truly grateful.
