Christy Lynn Brinkley

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, grandmother, daughter and companion, Christy Lynn Brinkley, on Sunday, November 28, 2021. She was 41 years old.

Born in Macon on May 16, 1980, Christy enjoyed attending a modeling agency in Atlanta for a short period of time. She led a simple life that centered around her family and her faith in Jesus Christ. To say that she was passionate about her convictions was an understatement. Christy was an undoubtedly loving and caring mother who was kind, empathetic, and would do anything for anyone, especially her family. She wore her heart on her sleeve and to find her laughing was not uncommon. For fun, Christy enjoyed fishing and listening to country music, but spending time with her family was where she was happiest.

She was preceded in death by her father, Curtis L. Brinkley, Jr.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Jennifer Brinkley, Faith Richardson and Christopher Cummings, Jr.; her grandson, Zaiden Bishop; her partner of 15 years, Christopher Cummings, Sr.; her mother and stepfather, Terrie and Harry Andrews; and sisters, Angie Sanders (Chad) and Shelley Rucker (Michael).

Visitation will be Thursday, December 2, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 3, 2021, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, with Reverend Mike Campbell officiating. Christy will be laid to rest in Parkway Memorial Gardens following the service.

Flowers will be accepted or the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to a fund benefiting Christy Brinkley. These gifts can be made payable directly to McCullough Funeral Home with “Christy Brinkley Memorial Fund” written in the memo line.
