Clara W. Dean

Byron – Clara Wynelle Dean, 75, entered into rest on Sunday, January 2, 2011.

Mrs. Dean was born on April 24, 1935 in Blakley County, Georgia. A devoted homemaker and a member of the Congregational Holiness Church. She worked forty-five years in production at Keebler in Macon, GA. Mrs. Dean was a member of the Red Hat Society and loved gardening and shopping. Her parents, Grady F. Benson and Clara Christine Benson, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving and faithful husband of fifty nine years John Milton Dean, Jr, children Joy Silverman (Deke), Colleyville, TX; Shelia Newman, Justin, TX; Barry Dean (Jennifer), Byron, GA; brothers, Doyle Benson, Clinton, CT; Ronald Benson, Manchester, GA; grandchildren, Dara Silverman, Trey Newman, Jena Hathcock ; Justin Scardina and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 5, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 6, 2011 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Glen Haven Cemetery.
