Clauradella Skerritt Jeffers, a woman whose life was defined by love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family, entered into eternal rest on March 15, 2026.
She was born in Salem, Montserrat, to the late Cyril Martin and Charlotte Skerritt O’Brien. Clauradella was raised in Salem, where she formed the strong values and warm spirit that would guide her throughout her life. She graduated from Salem High School and soon after began working in the hospitality industry at the View Point Hotel.
In pursuit of new opportunities, Clauradella migrated to the United States, where she built a beautiful life centered around love and family. In 1980, she married her beloved husband, Clifton. Their union was blessed with two children—welcoming their first in 1982 and their second in 1987—whom she cherished deeply.
Throughout the years, Clauradella and her family lived in Daytona, Florida; Orlando, Florida; and Memphis, Tennessee. During this time, she worked in the childcare industry, where her nurturing spirit touched the lives of many children and families. After relocating to Warner Robins, Georgia, she continued her career in hospitality at the Hampton Inn, where she worked faithfully from 2000 until her retirement in 2008.
Clauradella found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved to read and crochet, tending to her garden, and spending time watching television and movies. More than anything, she treasured her family. She especially loved speaking with her children several times each day, always making sure they felt her presence, care, and encouragement.
A deeply family-oriented woman, Clauradella stayed closely connected with her loved ones, always checking in and offering her support. She was known for her kind heart, sweet nature, and gentle spirit. Easy to love and impossible to forget, she truly had a heart of gold.
Her faith was an important part of her life. She loved attending All Saints Episcopal Church and faithfully volunteered at the food pantry every Saturday, serving others with compassion and humility. Clauradella was never judgmental—she loved unconditionally and accepted everyone with open arms.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and selflessness that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Clauradella was preceded in death by her sister, Thelma Skerritt.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Erika Giselle Jeffers of New York, NY and Megan Melissa Lashelle Jeffers of Washington, D. C.; siblings, Joycelyn Skerritt and Edris Bynoe (Kensley); and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service and reception will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with these arrangements.
