Clemittee Renfroe Swint peacefully departed this life on Friday, February 13, 2026.
Born on October 11, 1941, in Hancock County, Georgia, Clemittee was the beloved daughter of the late U. B. Renfroe, Sr. and Corine Brown Renfroe Baker. She was raised in Hancock County, where she attended school until the ninth grade before stepping in to help support her family—an early reflection of the strength, sacrifice, and resilience that would define her life.
Clemittee was a diligent and hardworking woman from a young age. She provided housework and ironing services for others and later dedicated many years to working at a hotel in Milledgeville until her retirement. Above all, she treasured her role as a homemaker. She took great pride in caring for her home and family, finding joy in cooking, nurturing her children, and creating a place of warmth and love for those around her.
A woman of quiet strength and steadfast faith, Clemittee was a faithful member of Second Darien Baptist Church and also found great joy in attending The Winning Church in Warner Robins, Georgia, until her health began to decline. Her life reflected a gentle spirit, unwavering love, and a deep commitment to both family and community.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Timothy Swint and David Swint; and her siblings, Sarah Spencer, Charlie Renfroe, Gene Renfroe, William David Renfroe, U. B. Renfroe, and Carrie Louise Sims.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children: Cathy Mills of Warner Robins, Georgia; Angela Tracye Swint of Homestead, Florida; Wayne Edward Swint of Warner Robins, Georgia; and Kevin Bernard Swint of Homestead, Florida; twelve grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; her siblings, Frances Renfroe-Crowder of Aiken, South Carolina, Corene Frazier of Salisbury, South Carolina, Benjamin (Carolyn) Renfroe of Milledgeville, Georgia, and Walter Lee (Glenis) Renfroe of Milledgeville, Georgia; along with a host of extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A homegoing celebration honoring Clemittee’s life will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Second Darien Baptist Church, 11646 Linton Road, Sparta, Georgia. Interment will follow in the Second Darien Baptist Church Cemetery.
McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with the arrangements.
“Her life spoke in quiet ways—through love given, sacrifices made, and faith that never wavered. That legacy will continue to live on in every heart she touched.”
