Clifton "Cliff" Haskins, Jr.

December 15, 1937 — May 16, 2025

Clifton “Cliff” Haskins, Jr., age 87, entered into eternal rest on May 16, 2025. He was born on December 15, 1937, in Shelbyville, Tennessee, to the late Clifton Haskins, Sr. and Odessa Wilson Haskins.

Cliff served his country with pride in the United States Air Force as a jet engine mechanic for four years. After his military service, he built a successful career as a car dealer, known for his integrity and personable nature.

In Tifton, Georgia, Cliff met the love of his life, Judene. From the moment they met, Cliff was captivated — showing up at her door every evening after, often claiming she was the prettiest thing he’s ever seen. Their bond led to 38 wonderful years of marriage.

Together, Cliff and Judene founded Haskins Construction in Houston County, Georgia, where they spent about a decade building high-end homes. Cliff took great pride in their work.

In his free time, Cliff loved fishing and vacationing in Hilton Head, South Carolina, where he and Judene owned a condo. He spent countless peaceful hours walking the beaches, metal detector in hand — a favorite pastime that brought him happiness.

Above all, Cliff had a tender heart, especially for his beloved dog, Carly. She was his constant companion and thoroughly spoiled. If Cliff was ever away, Carly was always the first thing he asked about.

Cliff was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Tanya Haney; and aunt, Dell Haskins. He is survived by his devoted wife, Judene Haskins; his stepchildren, Barry Arnette, Angela Garland, and Ben Coleman; and grandchildren, Megan Arnette, Matthew Arnette, Kaitlyn Arnette, Brandon Busching, Samuel O’Neal, and Rhett Coleman, who were proud to call him family.

Cliff will be remembered for his warmth, loyalty, and the deep love he held for his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of service, craftsmanship, and devotion that will not be forgotten.

Visitation with Cliff’s family will be Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The graveside service celebrating his life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Magnolia Park Mausoleum where Cliff will be laid to rest.
