John W. McCraw, 77, entered into rest on Friday, January 25, 2013.

John was born on August 25, 1935 in Mount Airy, North Carolina to the late Ed McCraw and Mescal McHone McCraw. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Marines Corps for twelve years and retired from the United States Air Force as Chief Master Sergeant. John also worked Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base for seven years. A tireless servant to the community, he was a member of the VFW, American Legion, and AFSA and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, his sister, Jean McCraw Cantrell preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Linda McCraw, Warner Robins; children, Rebecca McCraw Hartley (Adam), Warner Robins, Tom McCraw (Brandy), Gainesville, Georgia, and John McCraw, Jr. (Carol), Marietta; stepson, Brian Wright (Rebecca), Hawaii; and four grandchildren, Lauren Hailey Bridges, Kyle Anthony Bridges, Travis Michael Hartley, and Sarah Marie Hartley.

Visitation will be Monday, January 28, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests that donations be made to Christ the Redeemer Anglican Church Building Fund, 2815 Highway 41 North, Fort Valley, GA 31030.
