Walter “Dick” Cooke, Jr., 90, entered into rest on Friday, July 31, 2020.
Dick was born on April 10, 1930 in Matoaka, West Virginia to the late Walter and Grace Cooke, Sr. He served his country with pride and honor in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War before retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant. Following his honorable military service, he continued as a civil servant, working on Robins Air Force Base and operating Dick’s Handyman Service. A man of many laughs, Dick always had the best sense of humor. A void will be left in the hearts of his family and dearest friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Patty and beloved first wife, Geraldine Cooke.
His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Frances Ann George (Robert) of Salisbury, Pennsylvania, Theresa Marie Stover (William), Walter Ray “Chip” Cooke, Sandra D’Angelo (Robert) and Wayne Russell Cooke, all of Warner Robins; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren and second wife, Ruth Ann Cooke of Bluefield, West Virginia.
A Graveside service celebrating Dick’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 in Parkway Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Walter “Dick” Cooke, Jr. to the Alzheimer’s Association at 886 Mulberry Street, Macon, Georgia 31201.
