Connie Louise Adams, age 72, passed away at home on Monday, September 23, 2019.
Born in Dalton, Georgia, on January 6, 1947, Connie was the daughter of the late Horace and Helen Nations Holtzclaw. She retired from Liberty National with many dedicated years as an insurance agent and was a member of The Church of the Nazarene. Connie enjoyed sewing, traveling, camping, gambling, and going on cruises, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She was enormously family-oriented; the greatest joy in her life came from her family as she was the most loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grand mamie, and sister.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Steven Holtzclaw; and her brother-in-law, Milton Gallaher.
Those left to cherish Connie’s memory are her loving husband of 54 years, Glenn Adams of Dexter; son, Derek Adams (Wendy) of Danville; daughters, Wendy Adams Stokes and Lisa Adams Thomas, both of Dexter; grandchildren, Suzie Adams, Justin Adams (Jenn), Kristen Jordan (Brice), Makayla Thomas, Kaylea May (Caine), Mathew Thomas, Britney Crispen (Ryan), Clay Thomas (Bailey), and Amber Williams (Tyler); numerous great-grandchildren; and sisters, Karen Gallaher of Centerville and Diane Holtzclaw of Warner Robins.
Visitation will be on Thursday, September 26, 2019, from 11 a.m. until 12 noon at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12 noon in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Connie will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery following the service.
The family will receive friends at the residence of Derek and Wendy Adams following the interment at the cemetery.
