Cuc Thi Pfeuffer, age 79, entered into eternal rest on May 6, 2026.
Born on November 10, 1946, in Phan Rang, Vietnam, she was the daughter of the late Nguyen Mon and Le Thi Chien. During the Vietnam War, she met the love of her life, Howard Pfeuffer, while he was serving overseas. The two were married in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1971 and shared 55 devoted years together.
As a military family, Cuc and Howard lived in several states, including the Philippines, throughout the years before making Bonaire, Georgia their home in 1998. She was a woman of many talents and passions. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, ceramics, gardening, and cooking, especially preparing her cherished Vietnamese dishes for family and friends. She was also an enthusiastic sports fan who faithfully rooted for her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and enjoyed following both high school and college wrestling. This love started with her boys, as she was their most devoted fan.
Cuc was a longtime faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Her faith was the center of her life, and she attended Mass daily. She was also an active member of the Golden Hearts and the Friday evening prayer group. In addition to her love and devotion to her church and family, she faithfully supported her extended family in Vietnam throughout the years.
She will be remembered for her deep faith, generous heart, unwavering love for her family, and the kindness she shared with all who knew her. She used to say often that her children were her whole heart.
In addition to her parents, Cuc was preceded in death by her brothers, Le Hoa and Nguyen My.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband Howard Pfeuffer; sons, Howard Joseph Pfeuffer (Sheri) of Warner Robins, Georgia and David James Pfeuffer (Brian) of Annapolis, Maryland; grandchildren, Gabriel, Piper, Hannah, Lucas, and Zane; sister, Nguyen Thi Toan; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving, extended family.
A rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 11, 2026, at McCullough Funeral Home. A visitation will follow until 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Afterward, Cuc will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
